Tomorrow I will begin writing an entire book live on stream and you guys are welcome to join me and be part of the story at http://twitch.tv/kjbloodshed

Come hang out, play some word games, vibe to some of my favorite music, and vote on polls to help me decide what will happen next.

There will also be the option to become one of the characters by subbing to the channel. If you enjoyed Rise of the Dead here is a chance to be part of another zombie saga and get an inside look at how I go about creating a novel from the first page to the last!

So head over and drop a follow to be notified when the story begins.

Happy Birthday to Rise of the Dead! The series turns 8 years old today. 🧟‍♂️🎉

I think it is safe to say I might never have written any books at all if it wasn’t for Cormac McCarthy.

A lot of people know him for The Road and No Country For Old Men. When I was younger I read the Border Trilogy, Blood Meridian, Suttree & Child of God, and they’re all still some of my favorite stories to this day. Thanks for so many great stories, Cormac.

The author of The Road, Blood Meridian and No Country For Old Men embodied a strong Southwestern sensibility, writing often about men grappling with the existence of evil.

You guys might have noticed by now that I am not very active on social media other than release updates and posting the occasional meme. That’s all fine and good, but it’s not really a way I prefer to connect with people.

So I decided to start doing something that is more engaging. I will be streaming on Twitch a few times a week and invite you guys to stop by and hangout. Usually I will be streaming some sort of zombie or horror game & hopefully talking horror movies and books, music, games and whatever else with some of you.

I am also working on synth music which will eventually be featured there. Might even try do a live reading there now and then. And, there will be a lot of giveaways of my books and other cool stuff as well.

So if you’re on Twitch drop a follow at:
http://twitch.tv/kjbloodshed and leave a link to your Twitch in the comments so I can check out your channel, too. I’m going to do a giveaway drawing for Twitch followers at the end of the month, so if you’re following me on Twitch you will automatically be entered.

KJBloodshed is also my gamertag on Xbox, Steam & Epic, so if you want to game with me sometime just send me a friend request. This will also be the pen name that my next two books will be released under and what you will be able to find my music under when it eventually is released.

I am a horror writer and musician & in my free time I play DBD and other zombie games. I love metal and synthwave and will play a lot my own music on stream. From time to time there might be a scary story too. Hope you can join us to make this a fun space for to chat about horror, music, and gaming.

In my downtime, the kids and I started working on a called Zombie Royale. It’s got my two favorite things zombies and a battle royale. We still have a long way to go for what we have planned, but would love to have some players to test it out along the way. So if you know a little someone that likes zombies you can tell them to check it out. 🧟‍♂️

Check out Zombie Royale. It’s one of the millions of unique, user-generated 3D experiences created on Roblox. Years later, cities became vast wastelands. The streets were littered with shattered glass, broken toys, and useless electronics that would never turn on again.

Among them, billions of weathered bones rested like broken branches on ground. The clothes and flesh that once covered them had withered from the elements long ago.

The empty skulls were the only hint that humans had ever existed here. Their empty black eye sockets were like darkened windows of an abandoned house. These skulls were now nothing more than a place where rodents and insects would shelter and survive.

The mountains were the only safe place after the end. Altitudes where there was barely enough oxygen, where no plants grew and no animals roamed, became the last safe place where humans might survive.

Up here, the rocks felt harder beneath the worn down soles of his boots. The cold felt colder. The silence, more endless.

At least he was safe, and he could see for miles across the lands that were not.

Thank you.

Bio

Jeremy Dyson lives for one reason; to kill zombies. Until he gets that chance, he occupies his time drinking beer, writing stories, and teaching his children not to go to the bathroom on the floor. So far he has only succeeded in two of those endeavors.

After studying at the University of Iowa, Jeremy moved back home to Illinois, worked on a farm, built websites, made lattes, wrote how-to articles, and took dogs for walks before deciding he should probably do something different. About a year later, his debut novel, Rise of the Dead, was released. The rest is history. His writing influences are J.D. Salinger, Ernest Hemingway, Raymond Carver, Cormac McCarthy and the late, great, George Romero.

He currently resides in the cozy town of Crystal Lake, Illinois with his wife, two daughters, a pair of scruffy, stinky dogs, and his best friend, Jason Voorhees.

Okay, I just made that last part up.
