Severe weather is possible tonight, with a Slight Risk in place for part of our forecast area. If we do get severe storms, the primary threats will be heavy rain, flooding, and damaging winds. Monitor the forecast closely for updates. More rounds of storms are possible both Wednesday and Thursday.

When mother nature celebrates Independence Day too!

9:30AM UPDATE: The SPC has expanded the slight risk eastward for tonight as a warm front is expected to develop in the area. Round one of storms is still expected to begin late tonight and continue into early Tue AM. The main threat will be heavy rain and damaging winds. The best chances for severe weather will be in northern IN and southern MI. Round two arrives Tuesday evening, with all of our forecast area in a slight risk for severe storms. There is a lot of uncertainty at this point with respect to round two but the primary threats will be hail and damaging winds. Monitor the forecast closely for updates.
