Canning season prep underway! I had to come up with a storage solution because otherwise, it takes over every possible counter in my already tight kitchen.

Used up the last of my frozen strawberries from last year and some rhubarb and whipped out 20 jars of strawberry rhubarb jam, plus 20 jars of my grandma's apple butter!

One of the ways I've been focusing on my mental health is to pick a section of Scripture to memorize and dig through each month.

Then I pick out a verse or two and make a new phone wallpaper so I can really keep it at the forefront of my mind when I pick up my phone!

I thought some of you might enjoy having a new background every now and then too!

‭"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever." Hebrews 13:8

When I opened my Bible and started my reading for today, I ran right into this verse and the tears started and I'm afraid they just might not stop much today!

Last night, I led my final Fun Night. 14 years (thanks for the year off, Covid) of planning and organizing and making so many core memories!

From cowboys to circus performers, movie stars to head cooks, we have had so many great last evenings of the school year together.

But last night, was probably one of my favorites. We spent the night "pivoting". Campfires couldn't be trusted with the winds, but we switched things up and made it work. Then the wind finally died down and it was time for s'mores and songs around the fires.

We were singing praises to our Jesus, while gathered around the campfire. Former students and current students. Friends who have become my family. Gathered together praising our Savior! Nothing is quite better than that!

Today, we will clean up the classrooms and I'll say "good bye for now" to teaching, but what comfort it is to know that the same Jesus I've been sharing with my students for 15 years with be the same Jesus seeing us all through these new days ahead and even better, it's the same Jesus that will be with us all until He brings us all home to heaven with Him!

My Jesus is also their Jesus! Thank you, Lord!
