we often liken ourselves to the mythological sirens, able to seduce you in a single listening. Paired with the wittiest of radio banter and nonsense, prepare yourself for a real treat. The origin story of Ryan and Ryan in the Morning at Night is a humble one. It all started one cool September evening. The sun was just beginning to set with such brilliance that the many who stared out at it have sworn to have seen nothing but blinding, debilitating light. In addition to the unworldly sunlight was a gentle breeze so fair and childlike that the certainty of something truly amazing was about to begin was almost assured. Then, in that evening, destiny became true as Ryan asked Cullen if he wanted to have a radio show. In that moment, a legendary duo was born. Ryan Percy is a Junior at SUNY New Paltz studying Digital Media Management and Programming. When not at college contemplating and fearing the future, he resides in a small painfully middle class town outside of Schenectady, NY. He enjoys America, Corn dogs, Croquet, fine beer and ALL things Media. His favorite bands include The Strokes, Felice Brothers, Cayucas, Muse and Arcade Fire to name a few. Favorite albums include The Suburbs by Arcade Fire, Illnois by Sufjan Stevens and Bigfoot by Cayucas. These albums have been known to make him tear up nostalgically and throw mementos of his past into the unfeeling abyss that is the Mohawk River. Cullen Ryan is a Senior at SUNY New Paltz studying electrical engineering. His mysterious origins were mostly lost in the trashcan fire of ‘83, but it has been deduced by several detectives of shady repute that he resides in Syracuse, NY when he escapes from New Paltz. Amongst the burned documents, it was also inferred that he relishes milkshakes, video games, Croquet, and the unnerving sense of being watched. Pompously strolling around campus in ridiculously large studio headphones, he frequently enjoys listening to his favorite bands. This eerily diverse selection incorporates Los Campesinos!, Titus Andronicus, LCD Soundsystem, and Mastodon in an unholy amalgam. To delve further into these mysterious tastes, his favorite songs from those bands are The Seas is a Good Place to Think of the Future by Los Camp!, No Future Part 3 by Titus Andronicus, You Wanted a Hit by LCD Soundsystem, and Blood and Thunder by Mastodon.
