My Story

My name is Joe, I live in Mount Maunganui, New Zealand. Although I am currently only 16 years of age, I have created content for a range of local events, businesses as well as festivals and intend on broadening my platform base.

Here’s a brief introduction of myself, what I do and how I started. Technology and film have always interested me, at age 10 I was given a manual DSLR camera - the Canon EOS 300D - it didn’t work. Inspired by the thought of “capturing content” I made my way to the local tech store - 600 bucks in hand and purchased a Canon EOS 1200D digital camera.

I began creating my own content for YouTube - it never really took off - still hasn’t. But during that process I discovered it’s not the pumping out content for the world (in my case my somewhat 200 subscribers) to see - it’s providing a service, working, the process of creating visual content to accompany an event or service - that I really enjoy.

With that I started getting small jobs on my hands, made some cash and eventually increased the quality of my gear. I now shoot with a Canon EOS 60D and a Canon EOS 650D, I edit with Final Cut Pro X and have a basic DJI drone. I can technically say I have 5 years of experience (2 of those 5 were very experimental - hence the 60 private YouTube videos).
