North Texas Narratives Quick Reads on Quick Encounters in the Metroplex Behind every face there’s a story, but that story isn't as obvious as it may seem.

Every day, I will now make a choice to pay special attention to one of the hundreds of people I see on the streets of my home, downtown Dallas. Whether it’s through careful observation of a lunch date between two friends or by sharing beers with the man sitting next to me at a bar, I want to share the stories and vignettes of DFW residents with the rest of the world. Most writers focus on subjects

like celebrities, artists and musicians, public figures and people who are otherwise obviously interesting. Their stories try to defy stereotypes, show the value of the underdog and explain other cultures. Through unconventional storytelling about Metroplex residents, the world can now see that there’s always a story behind every face.
