Today is the 77th anniversary of the Maury Island incident!
It was when supposedly a boat crew in the Puget Sound said that they saw a ufo, spit out hot lava like rocks and shiny paper thin pieces of metal and then take off.
It was also the first time the term "Men in Black" within ufo lore.
We did an episode about it! That episode is called "UFOs of 1947 - part two.
Some of the books that we read for research are,
"Coming of the saucers", by Kenneth Arnold.
"The Maury Island UFO Incident. The story behind the Airforce's first military plane crash" by Charlette Lefevre and Philip Lipson.

In episode one of our two part series we talk about the origin of the saying, " "Flying Saucer".
Babycakes leads this high energy episode about the origin of the saying "Flying Saucer".
We also discuss a couple of UFO sightings that we've had and other out of this world experiences.

In our travels around not only the Pacific Northwest but the world we make stops at cemeteries.
To us, cemeteries are historical sites where you can find who once made up a community, how dense of a population the area around cemetery was, and some traditions communities have for treating the dead.
We have spent birthdays (Crossbar with a cake), celebrating accomplishments (Babycakes after a half marathon) and just visiting cemeteries.
To us there's nothing spooky or macabre about cemeteries. They're just quite parts of a community's history.

We had the opportunity to check out in Portland, OR this last weekend! We highly recommend this rad location filled with fun oddities like this creepy doll with uranium glass eyes! Look closely and you can see them glowing! 👀
