Moorings is a pioneering cultural review, exclusively featuring writing in English that takes for its concern the Maghreb, a region that has so long been bound by its coy approaches to the English language, especially in the domain of creative writing. As Maghrebian states are constructing more open advances to the uses of the English language and which are mainly reflected in their educational s

ystems and academic organisms, Moorings chose to take the experience further by giving voice chiefly to the outstanding youthful writers that choose to articulate their concerns in English, and to which the penury of the prospects of publication have been a main impediment. It welcomes all styles, topics and issues as long as they fall within the scope of the themes proposed by the editors.
