What IAYAAE stands for.

Initiative for African Youth Advancement, Advocacy and Empowerment is an organize vanguard of social crusaders primarily concerned with the objective of galvanizing a deliberate assembly aimed at building responsible and patriotic citizens, particularly amongst the young generation. Initiative for African Youth Advancement, Advocacy and Empowerment was founded as an interventionist organization aimed at fashioning out alternative policies to address some of the socio-political crisis afflicting the continent.

The Initiative for African Youth Advancement, Advocacy and Empowerment has been active in supporting youth advancement for more than five years across the country and African continent through assistance to civic groups.

As a group of vibrant and focused youths, we are positively and zealously passionate about capacity building for Nigerians; organizing advocacy and educational campaigns especially against electoral violence ahead of the 2019 general election.

Both domestic and international political sociologists based on empirical investigations argue that the greatest obstacle to democratic consolidation in Nigeria is electoral violence. This is as a result of the rascal politics that the political elites engage in. Sometimes, the violence is intra-party, and most of the time, it is inter-party. Apart from the fact that this phenomenon affects the credibility of the electoral system, the democratic system and the rule of law, the nature, extent and magnitude of violence and rigging associated with elections in Nigeria had assumed alarming proportions that necessitates intellectual excursion to the realm of possible solutions.
