On April 03, 2023, NASA and the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) announced the four astronauts who will venture around the Moon on Artemis II, the first crewed mission on NASA’s quest to eventually establish a long-term presence on the Moon for science and exploration. The launch of the approximately 10-day flight is tentatively scheduled for November 2024. This crewed Orion spacecraft will perform a lunar flyby test and return to Earth. Artemis II is planned to be the first crewed spacecraft to travel to the Moon, or beyond low Earth orbit, since Apollo 17 in 1972.
