Good evening,

I have accepted the resignation of Jason Andrew as creative director and partner at Mighty Narwhal Productions. I still have every intention of fulfilling our Kickstarter obligations, but as you can imagine the future of Mighty Narwhal Productions beyond that point is still up in the air. I need some time to determine what to do and how to accomplish it.

I humbly ask that you please give me the time and space to do so, and that the threats to myself and Jason that have been received in the last few days stop. If not for our sakes as individuals, then for our families who are frightened and worried by hearing of them.

I will be restoring commenting to this page, but I will delete any negative comments as they come, so please be respectful as I try and figure out where to go from here.

Mighty Narwhal Productions managed to host a single test event before the age of the plague. Mystical Rome proved to be a special event for many people. Mighty Narwhal has aquired the license for The Shattered World from J. Michael Reeves. You might know this seminal writer from his literary partnership with Neil Gaiman, his work on Star Wars novels, or his involvement in the creation of a number of cartoons that defined our childhood such as He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, The Transformers, Gargoyles, My Little Pony, and Batman: The Animated Series. Development for the Powered by Morra Genre will begin early next year. .

Students of Abjuration weave spells concerning protection, shields, and wards via runes, circles of salt, or holy objects. Spells of this school must be focused against a specific type of creature, a force of nature (such as fire), or school of magic. You must have knowledge of the thing you wish to abjure. If you cast a spell to protect against a specific school of magic, you must know that school personally or have researched it and mastered the fundamentals.

You have a secret identity with its own name,
history, craft/job, and possibly even family. Through guile, contacts, or wealth you created an entirely different persona than the one you were born with You may relate to this persona more than your “true” one, or it might be a matter of convenience, amusement, or source of information.

This Quality can be taken by a noble who poses as
a beggar, the strait-laced businessman with a farm
boy past, or the seemingly naive student who’s really an infamous hacker. While others occasionally get a hint that the person behind the glasses is you, as long as you make an effort to maintain it, your secret is safe.

Karma likes to railroad her favorites, and you have
a multi-pass to an eternal gonzo life of strangeness and weird encounters that strain credulity. If you randomly pick a bar for a quiet drink, you inevitably find the location of a clue, a special guest star ready to bestow a quest upon you, or the appearance of a new mystery. If the cast is a gang of mystery solving teenagers, you run out of gas in front of the haunted house. If you are a mystery writer, you discover a murder victim on your book tour.
