I have not been able to process this loss, and probably won't for some time. A dear brother and a dear friend and colleague - we shared the stage many a time w/ '5 Guitars Play Mingus', and he we would often pop up at each other's gigs. Just talked to him on the phone a couple of weeks ago, and told me 'you were always one of the nice cats...', warmed my heart. One of the best storytellers, and always had an arsenal of the best dirty jokes!!!
We will miss you and your artistry, Russell. Rest in Power Brother🙏🏼❤🎸

Hey Bostonites!!! I am looking forward to participating in this exciting tribute to my former 'boss', the great Wayne Shorter.
Rehearsal/Soundcheck was electrifying, and some magical sparks will fly tomorrow, so get your Tix now!!!

This year's summit will be dedicated to the visionary and genius Wayne Shorter. The concert will feature music by Shorter, and original compositions by acclaimed Berklee faculty, visiting artists, and BGJI students.
