I was up all night thinking about this conversation š¤Æ
I interviewed a police constable and a police detective.
We chatted about:
š The benefits of ADHD in policing.
š The link between undiagnosed ADHD and criminality. (The stats are mind blowing)
š How the Criminal Justice System can better accommodate Neurodiversity.
š Should prisoners be screened for ADHD.
Hereās a list of workplace accommodations for ADHD and autism which you can ask your employer for. Iām making a full length video on my YouTube on this topic, subscribe so you donāt miss it. Link in bio. Hope this helps! Alex x
Iāve never been this vulnerable before š„¹
Thanks @hldtalent for creating a safe space for me to talk about ADHD, and how businesses can better accommodate employees with neurodiversity.

Tap ā¤ļø if you relate. Itās about time we allowed people coming to terms with a later life diagnosis to truly be who they really are.
And its about time that women with ADHD were made to feel that who they are is fine and that who they are is enough and that they donāt need to adapt in order to fit in ā¤ļø
Tap ā¤ļø if you relate. The ADHD TAX is real! šµ
Tap ā¤ļø if you relate. I relate so much to Parulās explanation of her ADHD inattentive traits.
Tap ā¤ļø if you agree with these ADHD positives š
ADHD and impulse spending are best friends š© I was lucky enough to speak witht this week who had some amazing advice. Full episode out now!

Iāve said it before and Iāll say it again. The more and more I see and read other peoples habits around ADHD the more I realise that Iāve spend so long thinking I was the problem. That something wasnt connected right in my brain. Why did I obsess when others didnt? Why I would turn up 1 hr early for everything? Why being alone makes me happier but at the same time crave companionship only to wreck it all obsessing over stupid little things. Its such a relief to see others exactly with the same problems as me.
ā¤ļø if you relate. Iām in a constant state of hyper vigilance so I pick up on everything. Iām an amazing judge of character. I pick up on tiny changes in tone of voice. Only 7% of communication is verbal, and I see the other 93% so damn clearly. Itās a blessing but it can also be a curse.
When I got diagnosed with ADHD, I binged every episode of the @adhd_womenswellbeing_pod, so it was surreal and an honour to chat to the host!
@kate_moryoussef is a remarkable woman. She has helped so many people understand their ADHD. And her personal story is fascinating. Link in bio.
Tap ā¤ļø if youāre gonna listen!
I hope this helps some of you feel seen. Thereās still a lot of work to raise awareness around ADHD in women, but weāre making progress! Youāre not broken, you donāt need to be fixed! Thereās a reason so many people didnāt understand you ā¤ļø
Tap ā¤ļø if you relate. Masking is exhausting and will make you lose yourself. This will lead to anxiety and other problems. It takes bravery to let your true self shine through, but the rewards are huge.
Tap ā¤ļø if you relate to this. Disclosing an ADHD diagnosis at work takes courage. Your employer should NEVER say they donāt believe you. It invalidates your experience,
Tap ā¤ļø if you relate.
Too many women and girls slipped through the net due to a lack of understanding and awareness.
Thank you @amandaperry for your bravery.
Iāve never told this story before. But now feels like the right time.
ADHD sensory overload is real! I was a victim of it. I made changes, and then I thrived.
Thanks @managedpod for the invite. Itās nice to be the one answering questions for a change ā¤ļø
hey missed my ADHD but now Iām the happiest Iāve ever beenā.
This week I had a deeply vulnerable and honest conversation with social media sensation, and AuDHD champion @adelaide_saywell.
Every late diagnosed neurodivergent person will resonate with her story ā¤ļø
his really hits home for me. So many people slip through the net because they donāt display the ātraditionalā ADHD traits.
