Good Morning Y'All! Due to my many "hobbies" i.e. house, geckos and indoor plants, I will NOT be doing a porch garden this year; however, I am in the process of "re-doing" my indoor plants so they will have energy for Springtime which is upon us! My collection of plants (like my Geckos) is extensive and requires a lot of care indeed; however, it can be quite satisfying. Some of the plants I have are: various cactus species, various fern species, Dracaenas, bromeliads, Albuca spiralis (fizzle sizzle plants), pothos, ivy and I just won several Mexican Hat Plants from Lisa Starbuck and they are not only very healthy but are growing like crazy! I also help my BFF Rachel Keisling Burke with her plants as well. She keeps a Money Tree, Christmas cactus, Goldfish plant, also paddle cactus and a String Of Pearls (water only from the bottom). Now that Spring has sprung....things are looking up and all the plants are coming along nicely. I will be posting quite a few pictures showing my plants being readied with new fresh soil and a good watering! I created Kimo's Indoor Plants because I do not have a "forum" to post multiple pictures and lengthy discussions. With this page I will be able to share a multitude of photos and information. I am pretty knowledgeable concerning flora; however, I am not an expert but will try to answer any questions or make a suggestion as to how to help a plant in trouble. Tips For Snake Plants: Let them completely dry out 100% before watering, NO direct sunlight (especially from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.) they will burn and turn pretty yellowish. Indirect light, well draining soil, well draining pot and infrequent watering you will have to figure out the schedule for the plant. More water in winter due to the extremely dry condition caused by heating the house, the humidity drops dramatically! Thanks and Have A Good One!
