The #1 lesson I’ve learned as a dad and social impact business leader so far…

👉 Modeling ideal behaviors is 1000x more effective than "telling" ideal behaviors. 👈

Ready to stop WISHING that you’re the leader, partner, parent, mentor or advocate that you want to be and actual BECOME the best version of yourself?

‘Cause here’s the truth: betting on “someday” will only leave you with regrets in the end. And shaming yourself for not being there now only leads to more of the same.

Today is the only day that you have and you GET TO DECIDE what you do with your present circumstances.

The ability to model ideal behaviors begins with having a solid foundation of wellness. Designing a self-care plan that actually WORKS for your actual life is your first step.

provides the simple framework for you to customize your Wellness MAP along with the the tools and education to make it happen for you… for real this time.

DM me with MAP and I’ll share my #1 resource for designing a custom life strategy to guide you to becoming the stressed-less, cycle-breaking, wellness-having best version of yourself. 💚

Edit: “The journey is the destination [unless you don’t have a map, because then the journey just becomes about the anxiety of trying to orientate yourself on-the-go in an unknown land and the frustration of having to backtrack 10 times to find a path that actually gets to where you want to go and hopefully you haven’t fallen into ravine or run out gas 50 miles short of the nearest gas station or worse yet, become hangry because you’ve stumbled into a town where the idea of plant-based is a chef’s salad, because lettuce.]”

There, fixed it.

It’s the same when it comes to our health. Randomly trying to hit a moving target of wellness is not really going to get you there. You might get it right some of the time, but having a clear goal of wellness, and understanding how that's aligned with your personal values in life is how you're going to find sustainability.

Have a listen for more of this 👆

3. Approaches to identifying roadblocks

It's easy to get wrapped up in the busy work of everyday office life, and so often it seems like your potential and abilities are wasted on tasks that need to be completed just to keep your projects running. But what if you were free to be exactly who you needed to be as a leader?

In this episode, Jacob hosts his longtime friend, Jason Howard a former SEC attorney and current Chief Compliance Officer of Tegus, Inc., to talk about the great impact of A+ hires, and how developing trust within your team can free you up to maximize your potential as a leader.

What you'll learn in this episode:

He started his career by earning a law degree, and moved on to work as an SEC enforcement attorney for over a decade. Now he brings his expertise to Tegus and is a proud husband and father of two girls.

"In my world, people are so fearful of making mistakes. And yes, mistakes in the compliance and legal world can be bad, but we're human, right? What's important is how you deal with them. I hope I impart on my team openness, transparency, and honesty." - Jason Howard

Feeling stuck or already out of luck for 2023?

Maybe you are the sort of person who spent months thinking about 2023 and have an in-depth strategy in place for the year. Or maybe you created your resolutions on the night of the New Year's Eve on a whim. Whichever you are, none of your goals will get anywhere without following through intentionally every single day.

What you'll learn in this episode:
1. How to breakdown a large goal into smaller, manageable parts
2. Developing a "marathon mindset" and staying dedicated
3. How to set intention for each day

"I personally don't make resolutions. I'm much more interested in value-adds on a daily basis that build up to big gains over time." - Jacob Moore

Listen to the entire [short] episode here: https://www.jacobmoore.com/post/marathon-mindset

TIMESTAMPS

[01:21] - Instead of resolutions, do something little that adds value to your life each day
[02:52] - Juggling a busy schedule
[03:45] - How the principles of marathon training apply to daily life
[05:00] - Infusing this mindset in every aspect of life

20/11/2022

This episode will teach you how to infuse a mission mindset into every aspect of your organization.

Here's what you'll learn on this episode:
1. Passion gets you started, but systems keep you going
2. When your mission drives your decisions, everything aligns
3. Your system/team/biz must operate without you in order to grow bigger than you

Why is this important? Continually infusing your mission invigorates you/your team and helps to avoid burnout. Your mission can continue to inspire far after your passion fades.

Capturing your passion while it’s on fire + bringing action to your purpose = a mission that will stay evergreen long after you've gone.

Is a toxic work environment to blame for the Great Resignation that's happening in the American workforce right now? My next guest, Megan Jarvis, a clinical psychologist, says that behaviorally, this trend more resembles the process of grieving. What's come to be known as "quiet quitting" may be entirely misunderstood, and the true solution lies in cultivating grief-informed leadership.

3 key takeaways from this episode:

- How & why grief shows up in the workplace
- What happens to workplace culture when grief isn't addressed
- How to get started on cultivating a more grief-informed workplace

After the deaths of both of her parents within two years of each other Meghan began speaking on a larger scale about the importance of supporting grievers. "Any time you don't address an emotional experience that someone is exhibiting to you, they pull away. You experience disconnection, and when people don't understand what the disconnection is, they will tell a story, and that story will become the truth." -Meghan Jarvis
