I am very excited to be uploading my 100th video to my YouTube channel, The Hot Corner.

I started the channel in June of 2020 to speak on what I felt the Lord was leading me to speak. 2020 was such a pivotal year in the US and globally really. Lots of challenges with the pandemic and other global agendas were being exposed.

This video is a study on Romans 12:1-2. Popular and well-read for sure, but I am taking a bit of a deeper dive into those verses, what Paul is telling the church in Rome and how his guidance is still foundational in our Christian walk.

I believe we are in a wheat and tares season, meaning we are seeing a maturing of the wheat in preparation for the harvest. And the tares are right there alongside the stalks of wheat. It's evidence of a maturing crop as the harvest nears.

The tares will be harvested alongside the wheat, but then the tares will be burned up.

The Lord used the 2020 election to expose many prophetic ministries and the issues in the charismatic movement. Many were wrong, and many did not admit their error. Some even doubled down on their position.

We need major reformation in the prophetic movement and the charismatic world in general. We need to get back to teaching sound doctrine and discipling believers.

Historically, many hyper charismatic ministries have ended badly, some in false doctrine, and some in personal failures and even early deaths of leaders.

The gifts of the spirit are needed in the church, and every believer needs to be able to hear the Holy Spirit. We need both the word and the spirit. If this doesn't happen, many will burn out. Many coming to Christ will not be able to sustain their faith.

Mike Bickle once stated that many in the charismatic movement are scripturally lacking. We need both the word and the spirit.

One of the hallmarks of the New Apostolic Reformation is the belief that the Church is built on the foundation of present day apostles and prophets. Essentially what this means is the movement believes apostles are being restored to govern the church.

In Matthew 16:16, Peter confesses Jesus as the Messiah, God's anointed. Jesus acknowledges that the Father in heaven has revealed this to Peter, and says to Peter “You are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it” (Matt. 16:18). Jesus will build his church on Peter’s confession.

Jesus is the foundation, the Rock, the Cornerstone. His church is built on Him, the Word. The church is not built on modern day apostles and prophets.

Today's message at church was about David and the theme was based on the scriptures from 1 Chron 16:22 and Psalm 105:15. The exact reference presented was 1 Samuel 26:9. They all center around the theme of "Don't touch God's Anointed".

Naturally, I have heard these scriptures before, and naturally because these scriptures were presented in light of the current events withing the charismatic church, I was curious of the nature and context of those scriptures.

I searched and read several articles today to learn more, and the majority of them were statements that often these scriptures are used within the Pentecostal and Charismatic churches to defend and shield certain teachers (pastors, leaders) from criticism. That would be a huge red flag.

This article, and many like them, seem to put things into the proper context and to me make the term "Don't touch God's anointed" a little clearer in meaning and application. It doesn't mean what some folks understand.

We are all God's anointed if we are in Christ and have a calling. This scripture was applicable to people groups (God's people, His anointed people) and not necessarily individuals. Even in the case of David speaking about Saul , I wondered if Saul was even God's anointed at that point. He had strayed and was not with God.

No one in Christ is beyond criticism or correction. No one is without error. Certainly, we are not to condemn or rush to judgement particularly in situations we have no knowledge or aren't directly involved in. This is where we need to guard our hearts, though.

God is shaking His Kingdom, and everything that doesn't align will be destroyed.

Much prayer burden for IHOP leadership and the alleged victims. Also, for leadership at affiliated churches. And especially for my home church.

God is not going to allow some things to continue.

Tracking is complete on my new original song "Letting Go"

I am pleased to say that this is the first song under the Bronze Gate Sound label!

This is a collaborative project done with Bob Giovannetti at Crystal Pig Recording Studio! Bob wrote and recorded percussion, keys, and strings. We collaborated to write parts, and Bob brought the song to life. He also mixed and mastered the song at his studio in NJ. We did all of this remotely, with me providing guitar, bass, and vocals.

The next steps will be to mix and master the song.

I will post an official release date as soon as we have one, but we are getting very close!
