Every Girl's Adventure was started by myself in 2014, when I was 16 years old. The main reason and inspiration for starting the magazine came to me as I was walking through a store, looking at the magazines that were aimed at girls my age. These magazines featured topics of s*x, depression, and immorality on the front cover like it was the expected norm. Fueled by my dissatisfaction with the optio
ns of reading material, I resolved to raise the bar for teen magazines by starting my own publication that would feature topics relating to faith and everyday life, while still offering the excitement and and entertainment that modern teen girls expect. And so in September of 2014, Every Girl's Adventure was sent out to six of my closest friends for them to read. Fast forward to present day and Every Girl's Adventure has grown in variety of topics and readers. I am still so blown away at God's faithfulness that He continues to show me through this magazine, and I am so excited to see where He will lead me in this new year and with all the new changes. The basic philosophy behind Every Girl's Adventure and the reason I continue to write and publish it can be summed up in this quote from Helen Keller:
"Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing at all." Life should be a fun and exciting adventure and the idea behind this magazine is to show young girls that their life is what they make of it. If you fill your life with depressing news and passions based on temporary feelings, you're going to have an empty life. Every Girl's Adventure exists to serve as a reminder and encouragement that every day of your life is the new chance for adventure; that God holds the plans for your future and you can make your life so much better than average. And you can have fun while living for Christ. Your life is what you make of it. Will you choose the average, the ordinary and expected existence? Or will you accept the challenge of greatness with no guarantee of success, and choose to live your life as an adventure?
