Put on some Secret Camo Concealer duo, pat on some Air Matte blush in Torch, swiped on the Air Matte Lip in Chaser (from the RSGAL Get Up & Glow Set) and slicked on Better than S*x mascara from 💃🏻 As if I didnt sleep less than 5 hours last night 🥂

What I look like 1% of the time when I’m on call or a meeting 💃🏻
(the 99% of the time look will be for another post 😜)

In school, we were all taught how to make money and earn a living but we didn’t really have a course on different ways to make that money work for us. The different ways we can save and invest so that we can feel empowered financially no matter how much it is we make. Sana kids palang may basic financial lessons na tayo non diba?

Being part of the movement is something close to my heart especially as a single mom who needs to kayod twice as hard. When I got out of my marriage 5 years ago, I was so afraid on how to make it work for my two kids with the freelance situation I was in. One of the first things I did was talk to my financial adviser friend (shoutout he is newly married to one of my BFFs) and secure an investment and a health plan. I also started a business with my sister so I wouldn’t just rely on my unstable freelance creator earnings.

Again, it doesn’t matter how little or huge you earn, it’s being eager to educate yourself on options so you can make your earnings work smart for you who works so hard 👍🏻

Always BED-der when we’re together 😊

It’s the place where we spend the most time not just sleeping but having our most heartfelt and also most mundane conversations. Ever since she was a baby, we would have nightly heart to hearts in bed. From talking about her imaginary crush named Jayden until she started school sharing what games she and her friends played that day. Now, with Tristan in the convo, I’ve developed super bionic skill of listening to both of them with one ear!

When I changed our sheets into the new Airism beddings, I never knew how particular these two were about bedsheets pala 😅 “The old one was itchy”, “Yeah it was so hot it made me sweat”, “buy more of this mom” WOW. But yes, truly the AIRISM sheets - a whole other level. You can just see from these photos how soft, breezy and just billowy they are. Super worth it considering how much time we spend on our beds ☁️

Travelling through my camera roll again 🌊 This was our last real vacation complete together. Tristan was still a babieeee wearing diapers 👶🏻 Looking back, it was just the three of us + my two sisters where we travelled to Iloilo by plane, took a van 3.5 hrs away from Iloilo City so we could be close to Islas de Gigantes. ‘Twas an adventure, to say the least. I had a vlog on this I never got to finish editing! Maybe I should na.

After 15 years of changing my hair color to brown, light brown, ash brown, balayage, highlights, ash blonde, full on blonde — I’m back to BLACK 🖤💁🏻‍♀️ Letting my hair rest and breathe from all the bleaching and coloring leaving it super damaged which in Selene’s words, “looks like a dead bush in Minecraft” 🤦🏻‍♀️

Starting October with cleaning, disinfecting and clearing up my thoughts and emotions from anything toxic 🥂

And with that, let me share a literal disinfectant for all the other things we need to clean and clear before we let them into our homes and spaces! 🦠 Sana may ganito for people we let in our lives noh? 😅 Char!

We wanted to take these photos in the car as we did our drive-thru but reality is they had to patiently wait a few more minutes for mom to finish up — seen in one photo, with bed sheets in the wash and laptop in the background.

We look forward to our weekly drive thrus as this is where we’re all gadgets off and they can talk nonstop and i need to practice my superhuman skill of listening to each of them with one ear! 🤣

Also, slowly wearing back my everyday bottoms guyssss — my fave pair of slouchy, ripped comfy mom jeans from ! Easy, breezy, I can wear it early in the morning, doing quick errands and driving my kids around during our weekly ‘fieldtrips’. Truly, is our 👩‍👧‍👦

Thanks to the team for inviting me to share my story and empower women to never forget how strong they are despite life’s constant challenges and struggles. That no matter how bleak, dark or impossible a situation feels — it is only the end when you tell yourself so. It really took a whole lot of mental, physical and emotional strength and tenacity to have gone through what I went through — but it made me the woman that I am today and for it, I am grateful 🙏🏻
