Fresh off the painting table (so fresh they’re still on it!)

I have been on the look out for these models for a long time, so when GW re-released them there was no question about, I had to have them!

Simply gorgeous models, each one has so much character and it was a joy to paint, and I think they will be great fun on the gaming table //Niklas

While the podd is asleep the notorious D.E.D is at work. What With my skeletal husk not needing sleep. Sustenance or the comforting touch of another human *shudder* being.

Krell has started another horde army. Further cementing the fact that undeath drives a man to insanity.

It’s a mix of eBay rescues. Metashift mercy purchases and some conversions. It allowed for learning in regards to all those damn triangles. As well as how to do swamp basing. His reason for starting?

The first game of The Old World for the Night Goblins.

One re-based Mangler Squig got prepared for the game, other than that it was played with the old bases.

First impressions are great!

Stupidity feels more manageable.
Rallying a unit doesn't make you feel stuck in an awkward position any longer.
Magic was nice, and us bringing Lv4s was overkill though, a Lv2 or 3 should suffice for 1250 to be honest.

There were a lot of impressions and new rules to check up, but it was a lovely experience!

Can't wait to get more TOW games in, Jimmy out!

Mårten sent over some lovely photos of the end of the Öland of Blood-campaign. And yes, Mårten may call the campaign something else but... We all know it:s Öland of Blood!

"We finally played our last game in the campaign titled the Sorceror's skull. Nurgle vs High elves and Chaos dwarfs, 4000p per side. Nurgle had opened a portal from which daemons spawned and the "good" guys had to kill my wizard to win the game. In the end they did - he was transmuted into gold along with the skull."

With so many great sculpts, it’s hard to keep down the number of characters in a dwarf army, and as you could see in the previous post I’ve used some characters as unit champions to make use of them

Goblobber! The crowning piece of my army. After having amassed everything I needed (and then some) for my throng, I decided to pull the trigger and get myself one of the most iconic oldhammer war machine. Not entirely fitting with my War of the Beard theme, but too cool a model to resist!

Every dwarf knows that to win a war, you don’t need dragons, magic or cavalry. What you need is determination, resilience, and a steady supply of freshly sharpened weapons, food and most importantly beer!

Here are some bits and bobs I’ve painted up to use for various scenarios, including a furnace from the Anvil of Doom, some wagons and barricade from Battle for skull pass, and a sleeping Bugman I picked up at Warhammer World

With the new year approaching fast, it was time to get that previous New Year’s resolution sorted and finally finish my dwarf army, so for the last few weeks I’ve been painting up se additional models to top up units, some characters, and more!

Here’s a few new additions to the throng

In the front row, we’ve got Long Drong, an old White Dwarf model, Brok Stonefist and Joseph Bugman

On the left we have some reinforcements for Bugman’s rangers, including some drunks

A couple of longbeards will join their respective units

Two crossbowmen of unknown origin will join a ragtag unit of crossbowmen of different manufacturers

And lastly, just a cool looking bolt thrower crew member, that might serve as a “one use hit on 2+” marker

I’m planning on doing a little write-up about the army during the holidays 🎅🏻
