We absolutely loved this interview — we talked about how he got started as an actor, how he landed his role on BattleBots, how he prepares for each introduction, how he keeps his voice intact over two weeks of filming, and much more. We can't wait to have him on again!
Here's a clip of Faruq talking about what it was like stepping into the BattleBox for the first time:
Introducing Glitch!
Send in your listener questions now for brand new rookie bot Glitch BattleBot!
On Monday, we're catching up with Kyle Miller, the founder of Combat Robotics at Berkeley, the UC Berkeley student team behind Glitch.
Glitch is a super interesting bot, with a billet body (ala DUCK! or Bloodsport - BattleBot - Bots 'n' Stuff Robotics), stealth bomber aesthetics (ala Valkyrie - BattleBot) and a punishing vertical eggbeater (ala Black Dragon/Uairrior). And they're a college team, in the tradition of hard-hitting bots like Ribbot - BattleBot.
What should we ask Kyle? Send in your questions in the comments box below, and you might hear your name on next week's episode of Behind the Bots!
