All settled in at the campground. Took a short walk to the river. The owners dog was well behaved. The rooster protested our walk to the river. The owners came by to welcome us and gave us some fresh eggs. A very welcoming gift!

We have arrived in Wyoming! Staying at Riverbend in Glenrock. Fort Casper is full. Long dirt road will mean planning our day. No stop back for lunch once we're out.

Just a travel day yesterday. We made it to Scottsbluff. Nice, quiet RV park that was pricy for the area. We stayed in for dinner making a frozen dinner. It was pretty good with a bit of heat. This was something we shopped from mom's freezer. I bet it's from Aldis. So it won't be in our freezer for quite a while.

Strataca Satl mine has been in operation since 1920's. Way cool! We spent more than 4 hours here in Hutchinson, Kansas. Breakfast was simple apples with peanut butter. We try to eat healthy. Lunch out, we found a pizza place with lots of vehicles in the parking lot. Not the beat pizza or salad bar.

Lunch at The Pioneer Woman's Mercantile restaurant. Good food, good prices and big portions. Some buildings have been brought back to life the rest are in process. Our casino trip was short as it wasn't crowded but still smoky. Machines didn't pay out enough for money to last 20 minutes.

The Pioneer Women's Mercantile for lunch. We started with fresh biscuits and blackberry jam. Of course, we ate it before taking the phones out.

We found Beard and the Lady in Chester, Arkansas through Harvest Host. Themed rooms in a 160 year old hotel. It's been everything from a store to brothel over the years. Restaurant coming soon.

Our last day in North Little Rock. Koa Journy is a wonderful campground, close to every thing and friendly staff. My friend, since 2nd grade, Larry is the owner. Dinner was so good at Cheers we had lunch. The turkey burger was cooked to perfection, well complimented with sweet potato fries. Matthew's burger was good; the fries rated as okay. I second Larry's recommendation on the shrimp and grits. Dinner tonight was a use up of some beef nacho fixins I made last week. Oooey, gooey Nacho topped potatoes.

First day post and best day ever! We met with my friend, Karil, from grade school at The Mid-American Museum in Hot Springs. We might have done more walking and talking than hands on discovery. It has grown since I was a volunteer there. Only got a picture of us together. We chose Bubba's Brews for lunch. No pictures of the food. No Fair, right?! Karil's pork nachos are a must get. Matthew's philly wrap has been claimed as very good. My jalapeno stuffed shrimp is not worth a reorder. We drove back to North Little Rock KOA via Ouachita National Forest. Not the quickest route but very picturesque.
