At the 2025 Detroit Policy Conference, Richard Florida and the Detroit Regional Chamber unveiled a new report, “The Case for a Detroit-Ann Arbor Innovation Corridor,” highlighting the potential for a groundbreaking regional innovation hub.
The report emphasizes the role of research universities, particularly the University of Michigan, Wayne State University, and Michigan State University's Detroit Center, in driving innovation in fields like #AI, #robotics and #greenenergy.

Traveling exhibit ‘Frontline Prophet: James Baldwin’ makes last U.S. stop at The Wright Museum
A traveling art exhibit, “Frontline Prophet: James Baldwin,” has made its way to the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History.
Created by Detroit artist Sabrina Nelson, the exhibit explores the life of writer and activist James Baldwin for his centennial birthday.
It's on display through Feb. 28 and is the last stop on the exhibit’s tour across the United States.
Zekelman Holocaust Center re-opens newly renovated exhibit now focused on local survivor stories
Today is International Holocaust Remembrance Day — a time to honor the lives of survivors and victims.

The Great Migration is the focus of a new PBS documentary series produced by Henry Louis Gates, Jr. premiering Tuesday, Jan. 28.
“Great Migrations: People on The Move" documents the Black exodus to the North and the American West, with Detroit as a primary destination for many individuals and families.
In conjunction with the series premiere, contributor Stephen Henderson shared his family's journey to Detroit from the South and what happened when they arrived.
