One of my proudest accomplishments this year was increasing a global hospitality brand’s LinkedIn performance by leaps and bounds. Their audience grew by +45% and engagements jumped +260% year-over-year.
Here’s a look into the key initiatives from our 2024 strategy to achieve this:
1. On-the-ground content creation to capture associate content: This initiative was essential in elevating our presence and yielding immediate results. We conducted photo shoots for various team members, capturing headshots and candid images. Additionally, we produced video interviews highlighting employees’ roles, their passion for the company, and career growth.
2. Social Media Playbook Update: We revamped the existing playbook, expanding beyond basic policies to include:
• Profile optimization guidelines
• Content strategy frameworks
• A LinkedIn toolkit with step-by-step checklists for content creation after conferences, speaking engagements, and resort visits
3. LinkedIn Training for Key Teams: We conducted a series of LinekdIn training sessions for executive, sales, recruiting and operations teams. These focused on personal branding, developing influence and thought leadership. The impact was immediate, with team members optimizing their profiles, engaging with brand LinkedIn content, and increasing posting.
4. Consistent posting: We implemented a regular posting schedule using Airtable and built a content bank from content shoots and internal newsletters.
5. Employee Advocacy Program: We encouraged team members to share company content and engage with posts, leveraging the power of our workforce to amplify our message.
6. Data-Driven Approach: We implemented monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to measure the impact of our initiatives and make data-informed decisions for the future.
