My favorite Super Bowl activation was one without a flashy commercial.

released promo codes throughout different “extra” moments of the game. To access these codes, you had to text them the SECOND (not exaggerating here) they were announced on their X or Instagram accounts. Some of these codes even required a bit of digging - like checking their bio or DMing them for it.

My husband (who is very focused on football and not as much on marketing and ads, lol) kept Chipotle’s X account open the entire game, constantly hitting refresh. It was such a smart move for a brand not to pay millions for a commercial but still want to engage during the game in a very relevant way.

Needless to say, we did both secure codes and enjoyed free Chipotle entrees for dinner last night (haha).

Building a personal brand on LinkedIn completely changed my life and the fueled the growth of Klo — here’s how:

- my first (and still some current partners) clients found me from when I started sharing my expertise and services on LinkedIn (4 years ago !!)
- executives of global brands started following me and have landed me $150,000 contracts
- when I didn’t know what to do with my career? A dm convo with marketers I looked up to brought me new opportunities

One of my proudest accomplishments this year was increasing a global hospitality brand’s LinkedIn performance by leaps and bounds. Their audience grew by +45% and engagements jumped +260% year-over-year.

Here’s a look into the key initiatives from our 2024 strategy to achieve this:

1. On-the-ground content creation to capture associate content: This initiative was essential in elevating our presence and yielding immediate results. We conducted photo shoots for various team members, capturing headshots and candid images. Additionally, we produced video interviews highlighting employees’ roles, their passion for the company, and career growth.

2. Social Media Playbook Update: We revamped the existing playbook, expanding beyond basic policies to include:
• Profile optimization guidelines
• Content strategy frameworks
• A LinkedIn toolkit with step-by-step checklists for content creation after conferences, speaking engagements, and resort visits

3. LinkedIn Training for Key Teams: We conducted a series of LinekdIn training sessions for executive, sales, recruiting and operations teams. These focused on personal branding, developing influence and thought leadership. The impact was immediate, with team members optimizing their profiles, engaging with brand LinkedIn content, and increasing posting.

4. Consistent posting: We implemented a regular posting schedule using Airtable and built a content bank from content shoots and internal newsletters.

5. Employee Advocacy Program: We encouraged team members to share company content and engage with posts, leveraging the power of our workforce to amplify our message.

6. Data-Driven Approach: We implemented monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to measure the impact of our initiatives and make data-informed decisions for the future.

This month marks the 10th guest lecture at a university, a milestone that really fills my cup. This year was especially cool, as I had the honor to return to my alma mater (three times!) as a guest lecturer for a senior-level digital marketing course.

When I was a student at the University of Central Florida, I never imagined I’d return to campus as a speaker for a senior-level course.

It’s been amazing sharing my experience and insights with hundreds of students from coast to coast. But, to be honest, the exchanges have been mutually beneficial, as I leave these lectures feeling reinvigorated with students’ eagerness, questions, and fresh perspectives.

So...what’s next? Are any Ivy League professors out there looking for an industry professional to bring real-world experience to their classrooms? 👀

I never thought I’d be presenting to 100 leaders from my 98-year-old grandma’s shabby chic room, but here I am 🪞✨🐚

I just finished a 3-part LinkedIn workshop series for over 150 team members at Capital Vacations. The first workshop was for the CEO and the executive team at their HQ in Myrtle Beach, and the following two were virtual trainings for the sales, operations, marketing, and recruiting teams.

For the last training, I presented from Naples, as I’m spending a few days here with my aunt and my 98-year-old grandma.

I was surrounded by my stunning grandma’s high school photo from 1942 and a family pic from 2000 — we celebrated the last training with wine down and puzzles ✍🏼🥂🧩💫

As a mentor, I’m thrilled to share the inspiring journey of Maria, a student entrepreneur who’s been rapidly scaling her marketing agency.

Our mentorship began after she won the New Venture Competition at , where I offered social media strategy sessions as a prize for the winning company.

Since then, Maria has achieved remarkable milestones:

— Franchised to three East Coast locations, with West Coast expansion on the horizon.

— Secured an office space near the White House for her local team.

— Grew her team fivefold, implementing efficient onboarding and operational processes.

— Extended her services to clients nationwide.

Maria’s accomplishments are truly remarkable — and she’s only getting started.
