The Windhover Promoting poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction that considers Christian and spiritual themes. Current issue is $12. Back issues are $6.

The Windhover is published twice yearly, one issue in February, and one issue in August. Subscriptions (two issues) are $22. We read submissions 2/1-4/15 & 8/1-10/15. Full submission guidelines and ordering information are available on our website:

EDITORIAL UPDATE: With the release of our August issue, our new editor will be Dr. Toby F. Coley, replacing Dr. Nathaniel Lee Hansen. Each will have a short reflection in the issue. We're excited about the future of The Windhover!

We've finalized all the acceptances for our August issue. 373 writers submitted work, and 28 writers made the final cut. We thank everyone who submitted, and we'll have more news soon about the issue and some changes at the journal. Stay tuned!

Issue 27.2 Update: We received the reprinted copies, but again the printer incorrectly trimmed it. Please understand that the printer is offsite and beyond our editorial control. (It's complicated.) Thanks for your patience! Eventually it will be printed correctly and fly off into the world.

We were all set to send out our new issue (27.2) only to discover the printer incorrectly trimmed all the copies: too short on outside margin and slight diagonal on the bottom margin. 😕Issue is being reprinted (and on a rush order).
