WBOI's Folktales Please join us for an entertaining and topical tour around the musical folkworld: Saturdays & Wednes

For one hour every Saturday and Wednesday evening, Julia travels the musical world as she explores a theme that touches the human spirit, featuring communal activities, character traits, shared emotions, and myriad aspects of daily life. From ancient to modern, from steel drum bands to didgeridoos, from Americana to Arabesque, Julia and her listeners enjoy and consider how the traditions, customs,

heritage, and myths of our world have been expressed through music. Meticulously researched but presented with minimal commentary or interpretation, Julia allows the folktale theme of the week to unfold itself in the mastery of the musicians and their music, embellished occasionally by a timely quote or proverb. Folktales airs each Saturday evening, and offers an encore edition every Wednesday here in northeast Indiana, southern Michigan, and northwest Ohio, both nights 8-9p (ET) In our broadcast range, you'll find it at 89.1fm, and everywhere else in the world please stream online at our website: www.wboi.org. So someone came into work today who's husband has dementia and he had one of these on his coat. I've never seen or heard about them and she was saying how very few people have n i ssked if i could post this pic on here and she agreed so let's raise some awareness.... if you see someone alone and looking lost and they have one of these on show just scan this with ur mobile and it will bring up the details of family so you can get them back home safely. Such a good thing ❤️❤️
