This timelapse might be small and controllable however it’s pretty mighty. This represents one the first controlled studies in light over a duration sustained duration in time, nearly 4-6 weeks for the bloom (eh-hem back in 2022)

This has left me profound as now work light into the subject of every session. For the plant this was 4 weeks in the making. Yet when sculpting light on a styled session we have mere moments and element to produce on demand.

Control the controlables. Aka Bend the light. We learn from what we produce.

A flip in tasks and a night to remember.

Twas the day before the event, and nay not quite yet at 3:00 pm in the later half the afternoon an idea sparked so bright.

Wait, what?
I can!!!!

Switched the entire system to provide direct-to print solutions and product for the event.

Backdrop arrived just the day before.
Advertising poster print designed, printed and picked up the very same day.

With studio packed in pelican cases, four trips to setup and 20 minutes to spare. This pop up studio shined with delight. Lines out the door and smiles galore.

“Oh wow this is neat!
Isn’t this cool!”
Wait what, you can do this? And this is for me?
Look at that! This is … remarkable quality.

They said time and time again. With printer producing LAB quality prints and printing 5”x7” generated every mere minute.

“More?” they asked, “More! We want more.”
“Do my family. Click my children. I want a holiday headshot!
Would you, could you take just one more?”

Yes, yes and yes! For Disney rules most certainly apply.

Then off they left from sauntering out the Hilton door from wonderful evening. Entertained and delighted by Dueling Painos where I and my little pop up studio was a little side show.

Of the moments that I might recall, there are two that that come to mind. Knowing the smiles and product produced created a memory for all. To pay it forward with gratitude. Tis time to share, tis time to give. Tis time for all.

I think we covered all the light in this downtown twilight session.

From light and bright, with a moody urban feel to the drama of dancing in water. Full scope these concepts are simply a hoot to noodle around. While these may take some time to process I assure you-they are deep, meaningful and tailored. Where each image has its own flare.

All the feels. She wanted "light bright and airy" this is a case were we accept the scene for what it is. Captured 5 five minutes before a thunderstorm. That's what Maddy is, a storm of life.

Annual Rochester Public Utilities, Arbor Day photo gallery is up!!!

What’s amazing about this event you never know who’s gonna smile the biggest the little kids or the BIG kids. (Eh-hem the RPU staff volunteers)

One thing for sure it’s a fast and fun three hour event running the field or building end- to-end-trying to capture it all.

This is just one post they shared out of the entire gallery-hope you check out their album on their page for the full scope of the event.

And remember, if you have a unique project that leans on the side of being nebulous, there’s a good chance I can more than help you with it. From families of 4 to 55 and maybe more and covering community wide events over 4000 people.

Long day and even longer nights for our crews restoring power to dark neighborhoods.

Started at 7:30 pm ran till 11:00 pm. Just look for dark areas. Wear PPE gear. Be present. Be Sensitive. Be safe. Ask questions and ask for help.

This by was hopping with action.

Over 3000 students attended throughout the day circulating around all zones learning about art and math careers provided by local area businesses.

As a mom, who doesn’t love clicks from the sidelines when you get to see your own Child engaged withing the booth and stand for a click.

Sharing the smiles and electrifying information at the Rochester Public Utility Booth.

Job well done this year to all involved.

If you know me then you also might know I’m a long time supporter of Civic League Day Nursery, a nonprofit, 401(c)(3) organization, has been a part of the Rochester MN community since 1930.

Known as Rochester’s beloved childcare center, CLDN has cared for families throughout it’s time through the use of its innovative programming.

With extensive yards and gardens these engage outdoor experiences through nature based play.

We are Living, Learning and Leading every day.

A reflection moment of family. We had just had a wonderful day with apples in the orchard, processing chickens, chopping wood for the DIY tub (eh-hem affectionately known as the red neck tub-tub) on the property.

We were gubby, hands messy and frankly didn’t give a gosh darn what we looked or smelled like. Not all family foto moments are perfect-this light was crazy bonkers awesome and I couldn't resist a family fifteen minute session. So off to balance the camera precariously on a fence post and shoot. “Make it fast they said-we’re losing light!”

My family, sewn hands, weathered with time, from the earth, natural and cooky with our own nerdy jokes. we are what we are.
