In his desperation and impossible situation in his prayer, David reminds God that if he doesn't intervene, it's over. Then he will die and be lost and there he will not be able to give his thanks to God's answer to prayer.

We can all get into situations that seem impossible, but we see in this psalm that God's answer also came, and David was able to praise the Lord. Not from the dead but fully alive.

A reminder to us wherever and whenever to choose life in Christ and if not, we will face a reality far from God's presence in the realm of the dead. While those who receive salvation may rejoice in the Lord's presence.
