Back in 1994, the Honda enthusiast community was just gaining strength. One of the most popular and famous Honda websites for the enthusiast at that time was the "Integra Performance Page", created and ran by Honda Integra owner and enthusiast Tuan Nguyen. Palmer approached Tuan to cooperate to create the very first web r
esource dedicated to the hardcore Honda enthusiast. They named it the Temple Of VTEC (or TOV). Two years later in 1996, both Tuan and Jeff approached me and asked me to join them to run TOV. Their vision was for me to create the 'Asia division' of TOV which we will call (appropriately) the Temple Of VTEC Asia which we shortened to TOVA. Their mandate to me then was that I was free to run TOVA any way I see fit. Since then, we have also created two more specialized though perhaps less well-known websites. One of them is TOVM or Temple Of VTEC Motorsports, intended to cover everything related to Honda's participation in Motorsports. The other is TOV Memorabilia which is dedicated to all Honda-themed memorabilia (model cars, caps, T-shirts, etc). Together, the 4 websites are called the TOV-A or the Temple Of VTEC Association. Since then, TOV-A had its share of ups and downs, TOVA perhaps more so than the others. TOVA had many fans and supporters over the years but work pressures and lack of time meant very little spare time available to continue to write the kind of articles that hardcore Honda fans wanted. Another bigger factor was that Honda fans worldwide had gotten more and more knowledgeable over the years and it was getting difficult to write technical articles that will offer value and new information to hardcore Honda fans, many of whom have actually grown to be more knowledgeable and experienced than me. It is a good thing of course as it means that the Honda enthusiast community was continously growing from strength to strength. Today TOV-A is slowly re-imagining ourselves and we hope to continue to remain a core part of the hardcore Honda enthusiast community.
