Do you love doing free activities? 👇

There are plenty of free activities you can enjoy while traveling in a city.

Here are some of my favorite things to do without spending any money:

1. Walking Tours: Many cities offer free walking tours led by locals or volunteer guides. These tours often cover major landmarks and points of interest and they are PWYC (pay what you can). 🚶‍♀

2. Visit Parks and Gardens: Explore local parks, botanical gardens, or nature reserves. They offer a peaceful escape from the city hustle and bustle. 🏞

3. Museums and Galleries: Some museums offer free admission on certain days or have permanent free exhibits. Do some research beforehand to find out which ones you can visit for free. 🖌

4. Attend Local Events: Check out community calendars or websites for free events such as concerts, festivals, or markets happening during your visit. 🗓

5. Free Cultural Sites: Many cities have landmarks, churches, or temples that are free to enter and explore. ⛪

Remember to always check for any updated information regarding opening hours or special conditions due to events or holidays. 🚪

Since students have moved out and residences have spaces to offer, they open it to visitors so they can also make some money! 💰 🛋️

So if you're looking for an affordable stay in expensive cities (such as London), university dorms are a great idea! 💡

Reasons why it is better to stay in a residence:

1. Summer months are high season so it is super expensive in hostels and hotels 💰

2. You can find an affordable stay in a central location in expensive cities 🌇

3. You can have more space for yourself such as a kitchen and a desk 🔪🖥️

Are you looking for a visa to move abroad? 🛫

Here are 4 popular visas you should look into to move and live abroad! 🧳

1. Student Visa 🎓 -

Student visas are one of the easiest ways for people to leave their home country! You can get a study permit for studying your undergraduate, master's, Ph.D., or even an exchange program!

2. Work Visa 💼 -

Teaching English or teaching in international schools is a common way to obtain a work visa. 📚 However, you can also work in a corporate company and even consider company relocation. 🌎 Some companies even have a relocation package that covers your expenses! 💰

3. Working Holiday Visa ✈️ -

This is one of the most popular visas for young people! 👩 With this visa, it is super flexible and you can choose to work or travel for an extended period of time. It is usually one or two years. 🗓️

4. Dependent Visa 👫 -

Many people move with their love. 💕 If you have a partner who has obtained a visa or residency in another country, you can move with them! It is possible to join them as a dependent, even if they are on a work or study visa. 🎒 You can also bring children too!

How to use credit cards to travel more. 👇

Are you familiar with the term 'travel hacking?' 💳

Travel hacking is when you use credit cards to help you earn for free travel such as plane tickets and hotels. 🛫

Here are the 3 things you need to know:

1. Sign-up bonuses (SUP) - By leveraging the art of strategic sign-up bonuses, you'll swiftly amass points simply by signing up for a new credit card! 💳

2. Meeting the required spending - You can get ADDITIONAL points for spending a specified amount within a set timeframe. 💰 Usually, it is within the first 3 or 6 months. ⏰

3. Categories that Count - Make sure you check how many points you receive for each spending category (ex. groceries, restaurants). Sometimes, one category can be 5x the points! 🏷️

As a Canadian, our options are quite limited as compared to the USA, but I still have my favourite cards: 🇨🇦

1. For earning free flights: I use my Aeroplan Card Card 🛫

2. For earning free hotels: I use my Marriott Bonvoy Credit Card 🏨 (Ask me for my referral link to learn more!) 🔗

How can you save money when booking a flight? 👇

Off season is the cheapest time of the year to book a plane ticket 🎟️ but what is off season?

That really depends on where you live and where you're going! ✈️

For example, in Canada, most people fly during school holidays (July - August) and Christmas holidays (mid December to January) to see family. 🎄

So low season can be after school begins (September to November) and after Christmas (January to March) ⬇️

Then we have the shoulder season. 🙇‍♀️

That is when prices start increasing to prepare for high season but still affordable. ⬆️

I consider shoulder season to be April - June. That is when the weather is getting warmer, university students are finishing exams and people are starting to fly again. 🎒

Then you have high season 💰💰💰

That is the priciest and not recommended due to crowds but if you have no choice, do it!

Personally I still do it sometimes 😂😂😂
