Lubby is a musician from Orange County, CA, who grew up surrounded by music, whether from his parents’ records or his deep dive into various instruments at a young age. With a strong interest in guitar, he found his way to prog metal bands whose music, at times, could be quite beautiful but also very dark. This had a major influence on the type of music currently under the Lubby project. The ultimate goal for Lubby is to bridge the gap between aggressive drops and softer melodies, paired with various rhythms and sound design techniques, taking the listener on a unique musical journey.

Proudly presenting: spiraL - "Dream Translation"

This 3 track EP deftly intertwines various genres to bring a fresh and unique sound to our scene. Thick basses and sparse melodies pull against ever shifting glitch and foley sounds in a way that keeps the listener finding themselves translating dreams while simultaneously moving to the alluring grooves.

Coming out of the gate swinging with "Doorknob", spiraL showcases some upbeat and playful glitch hop. However it quickly shifts into slower and more mysterious realms for the second track "Being", and finishes on a danceable yet contemplative note with "Inquiries". You gotta listen for yourself, you know where to find it!

"Colfax Shuffle" is the debut single from .dj's upcoming "Parkway Breeze" EP and we are elated to premiere it today!

Lush melodies play off of hard-driving subs, steady breaks, and intricate acid leads in this insanely vibey tune ~

Parkway Breeze is a vibrant and colorful 3 track EP releasing May 23rd. It's a collection of house-adjacent instrumental chillout beats inspired by (and hopes to invoke in the listener) feelings of warm sunshine and cool breezes. One of the goals of the project was to incorporate field recordings to complement and add an organic touch to the otherwise synthesized arrangements. It features Tascam recorded samples of wind chimes, busy streets, movies, plus vinyl and cassette crackle.

We're beyond stoked to announce that we're premiering an infectious single from the upcoming Vyblossom EP on Wednesday, May 8th. This tune utilizes breaks, intricate synth work and booming subs to seamlessly blend genres while maintaining a signature sound. It simultaneously takes us to a crisp, sunny beach - and a dark late-night warehouse, so yeah, we're stoked to share it with yas!

Hailing from Omaha, Nebraska and residing in the bass capital of Denver, Colorado, Vyblossom began his DJ journey in 2014. After years of honing music production & DJing, his original music has steadily built an underground buzz in the flyover dance circuit. Meticulously delivering an electrifying concoction of hypnotic grooves & explosive bangers by way of acid house, lo-fi, garage & wave music - Vyblossom maintains the flux of genre realms with a consistently vibrant, deep, and crystalline sound.

We're thrilled to announce our next EP release - "Espial" by our good friend Iyasu ( ). These tunes release March 25th and have us insanely stoked to see where the Iyasu project goes. He's been testing them on sound systems around Denver for the past year or so and we are proud to finally give them a home 🧡

Iyasu has been a music creator all his life. He is a self taught instrumentalist, vocalist, & audio engineer that strives to create music that tells a story. Always digging deep from his cultural roots - he loves to draw inspiration from ancient/tribal sounds and fuse them with experimental electronic music, expansive vocal textures, and boom-bap grooves.
His focus centers around using organic & eccentric digital sound to create a rhythm that resonates emotionally.

From jazz, reggae, rock/metal, hiphop, classical, tribal, funk, drum & bass, dubstep to many more, his influences are endless. While creating music simply for enjoyment is the main goal of his project, he hopes that his sound will leave listeners feeling a deeper sense of emotion, whatever that may be.

We are pleased to announce that the 8th installment of our Original Mix Series is coming at you Monday, February 6th courtesy of our friends Yellgnatz and Merman.g -

Yellgnatz and Merman.G are two close friends and producers based in Denver, CO. They met at The Black Box's open deck series and quickly began collaborating on music and curating events together. This mix is from their performance at Colorado Group Therapy's 'Spooky Sessions 2' and features a variety of all original music and mashups combining eachother's songs.

This mix is full of technical bass design, tasty ear candy and dance friendly drum grooves. Definitely not one to be missed!

"I started making music as starsmoke in 2013, mostly focusing on techno which I grew up on and was heavily inspired at the time. My main goal from the get go was to make songs by recording a live jam, making a unique snapshot of any given project, and in turn have an arsenal of songs I can play live, the same way I recorded them, manipulating them on the fly, curated for the present moment. This hard headed goal led me through many iterations of my setup, eventually landing on some weird digital/analog monstrosity it is now. It definitely morphed my sound over time but I also think now I make exactly what I had in mind back then. With music now I like to explore possibilities and new ideas, display/play with juxtaposing genre tropes, and just express the unspeakable."

'Tablelands' is the latest single from Nyquist's upcoming LP. This deep 130 bpm cut creates a soundscape of molten rock and lava with torrents of steam finding their way thru the cracked and broken surface... One only hopes the vehement bassline doesn't wake the creatures that have somehow evolved and adapted to call such extreme environments home....
