NJ S4250 is up for a floor vote on Monday. We need everyone to contact their Senator and tell them to vote yes. We are going to be sending out a mass email, but here is the language:

1. Contact your Senator and urge them to vote yes to the bill. You can locate your legislator by visiting NJ Legislature (state.nj.us) and using this script:
Hello, my name is [insert name], and I am pleased to see S4250/A5326 up for a floor vote. I am calling to urge you to vote yes to S4250/A5326. This bill would support significant investments in community led first response pilots that would serve as an alternative to law enforcement responses for nonviolent substance use, behavioral and mental health calls. The presence of community response teams has proven to be more effective in violence interruption and limiting unnecessary and harmful interaction between police and Black communities.
A significant investment in community led first response pilot programs would be an investment in healthier and safer New Jersey communities.
I am urging you to vote yes on this important bill.
