A short walk from the iconic gold statue of Prometheus encircled by a zodiac belt in the Rockefeller Center in Manhattan is an even larger temporary zodiac. This colossal bronze zodiac wheel spans ten storeys of the façade of Saks Fifth Avenue. Partnering with Dior to evoke the legacy of the founding couturier, this monumental display celebrates the beauty of the zodiac.

I’m excited to announce the latest edition of Correlation Journal is at the printers and available online. It features several brilliantly illustrated astrology research studies including those by Vincent Godbout with Vital Coron, Dr Kyosti Tarvainen, Dr Johnson Holt, plus commentary from Dr José Becerra.

In addition, I review the recently published book "Understanding Astrology” authored by a team of veteran sceptics headed by Dr Geoffrey Dean. To support their hypothesis that astrology is false they rely heavily on fallacious arguments, anecdotes and personal criticism instead of presenting solid evidence backed by logical and statistical reasoning. Despite the authors' claim of support from a thousand studies, they were unable to cite a single test that verified their claim.

Their focus on 20th-century studies, meant that they unintentionally endorsed the robust and ongoing output of 21st-century astrological research, much of which is published in our own Correlation Journal.

We’re hosting an astrology/yoga retreat from our home. After I finished my presentation, I left copies of the latest version of Correlation, the journal of research into astrology for the guests to read. I had not expected that they would be put to good use by a guest rescuing a butterfly!

Confirmation of Ketanji Brown Jackson to the US Supreme Court affirms a paper I wrote in 2021. The theme of Jupiter (Judgement) & Venus (Equality) is strong in the horoscopes of 114 Supreme Court Justices.

KBJ (born 14 Sept. 1970) has a close Jupiter/Venus conjunction within 2°. Now with 115 Justices (with known dates of birth) including KBJ, the significance of this theme becomes greater (p = .00008, r= .35) which equates to a 1 in 12,500 chance that this result occurred by chance.

Wishing everyone a happy solstice and a wonderful new solar cycle!

Here at 54° north, the solstice occurs at 15:58 GMT - 1 minute after sunset. The Sun moves from extravagant and generous Sagittarius into frugal and wise Capricorn. The shortest day of the year and the lowest midday Sun in the northern hemisphere. This natural event is the basis for all the festivities around the world that occur in this holiday season.

Fire and air sun signs have an average of 61% and earth and water signs are 52%. If this was based on a sample of 400 or more people, it would be a significant result (>95% chance of not being random).
Though we have to consider the transits and the rest of the chart, it does fit with basic astrological theory. The elements oriented to risk (fire) and detached logic (air) are more inclined to be vaccinated for different reasons than those who are more cautious with physical risk (earth) or those who go more on feelings and trust (water).

My first edition of Correlation Journal as editor. This time we have something for everyone who practices or studies astrology.

Which house system works best and when? How can the use of midpoints enhance aspects? What are the optimal working orbs for which aspects? How sceptics use p-hacking to debunk valid results. Does progressed and natal synastry affect the timing of relationships? What traditional astrological theme do US Supreme Court justices have in common? How infant mortality is affected by the position of Saturn at birth. Are applying aspects stronger than separating aspects? How testing with mutual reception themes is so powerful as it follows astrological practice.
