Those who don't know.
Pls be aware.
Poem Title : "In the University of Liberia".
By : Dr. Sam Kowah
In the University of Liberia, uncertainty fills the air .
It's a place of learning so they say,
But it feels more like a game we're forced to play.
Merit and talent, often overlooked,
As connections and favors become the hook.
The pursuit of knowledge is tainted by agendas,
Leaving us questioning the value of credentials.
We majority of are doubtful if our
hard work and dedication ever be enough,
Or will we be judged solely by who we know and their stuff?
fairness doesn't prevails,
merit and passion are not the true scales.
careers aren't left to chance,
And politics do dictate life's dance.
But until that day comes, We will persist and fight,
Holding onto our dreams with all my might.
For they may f**k our intuition and natural curiosity but within us burns a fire that won't be quelled,
And we refuse to let this system leave us compelled.
" In this emotional and painful verse,
I share the struggles that many of us traverse.
May we find solace in knowing we're not alone,
And continue to fight for a future of our own."
