DD Podhigai

DD Podhigai DD Podhigai (பொதிகை தொலைக்காட்சி) is Doordarshan's Tamil language regional channel. It is broadcast both terrestrially and via satellite.

Doordarshan Kendra Chennai's Regional satellite Network “DD-5”, was launched on 15h April, 1993. This service is viewed in India and all parts of the world. Later "DD-5" has taken a new identity in Tamil by being renamed as DD Podhigai on 15 January 2000 which became 24-hour Doordarshan Tamil channel.
