Appx 2:32 am Hemet Police officer Sgt Piaz went to conduct a traffic stop and the subject in the truck began firing at the SGT Piaz.

He radioed in a 10-33 11-11 shots fired distress call and all units responded.
The driver sped away and was caught at gunpoint after he bailed out of his truck but was caught several hundred feet out in the middle of the parking lot .
