Staples Library | 1:13 p.m. | Staples says goodbye to Catherine Carlson (front), library paraprofessional. To celebrate her, the library invited faculty to stop by to have cake and wish Carlson farewell before her last day next Friday.

“[A last message I would like to share with the school is] how much I have enjoyed working here and how many children that have come up here to the desk to say hello to me every morning,” Carlson said, “working with a great staff here in the library and all the great teachers in the building, it’s been my pleasure to work here.”

Hi everyone!

This is Talia Varsano and Jolie Gefen. For our senior internship, we are working closely with 06880, the local blog run by Dan Woog. Together, we are creating “06880 Teens and Tweens,” a space for youth to submit and publish their experiences living in Westport. For instance, you could share your experience regarding social or academic pressures, bullying, inspirations, body image, your favorite place in Westport or anything else. We are open to granting anonymity! No expertise is required as we will offer hands-on guidance to help share your story in the medium that you’re most comfortable working with (writing, video, podcast, art). This opportunity not only lets your voice be heard but also gets you published in a local blog, which is great for resume boosting.

Please fill out the form linked on the story (in the 06880 highlight) or reach out to the contact below if you or someone you know has a story to tell!
