Double Shoe Publishing Company Double Shoe Publishing Company Award-winning books that highlight history are the focus here at the Double Shoe Publishing Company.

We started with a couple of titles that detail two historic ranches in southwestern Colorado – the Smith Ranch and the Last Dollar Ranch. Encouraged by the response, we moved forward with A Heritage in Iron, which salutes the artisan blacksmiths who provided such magnificent work in rebuilding the two ranches previously mention. We followed up with A Ranching Legacy, a beautiful coffee table book

that covers both ranches along with the people and animals that call them home. Now we’re working on a four-book series entitled, “The Life & Times of Vince Kontny.” Volume 1: The Early Years was completed in 2010 and received the National Indie Excellence award for autobiographies. Volume 2: The Seabees and Me came off the press in early 2011 and is receiving rave reviews. For details visit the book’s page (in the left-hand column). We’re working on Volume 3: Construction, and once that one is on press we’ll move on to Volume 4: The Golden Years.
