Here in Branwyn Family, we work together to connect class and mass. Our Branwyn family consists of all those people who love literature and life. The idea of bringing authors closer to readers popped up in my mind some two years ago and since then it saw several phases to reach finally this stage. We talk about books and authors and the beautiful life. The name "Branwyn" has been tossed by Lavkesh

SHORT STORIES:

Branwyn invites submission for short stories segment [English language only] from published and unpublished writers. Please follow the guidelines :

Short story writers are invited to submit their stories. Every published story will win a cash prize of INR 500/-. Following are the guidelines for submission:

1. The story should be original and should not violate any copyright issue.
2. Stories should not contain any vulgar content.
3. There will be a time-span of 6 months between considering entries from the same writer.
4. Any writer found violating the copyright issue or indulged in plagiarism will be banned from Branwyn forever and he/she will be condemned publicly in Branwyn’s coming issues.
5. Stories should be precise, focused, intriguing not exceeding 300 words.
6. Branwyn holds the sole right of accepting or rejecting the stories and also the time-to-time changes in the T&C. No clarification will be made from Branwyn’s part in this regard.
7. Writers are requested to send their stories in a word file with their small picture, name, location and company/college name. They are requested to copy the following declaration in the email :
I,…..[name]…., s/o / d/o / w/o ……..[guardian’s name]……, hereby declare that,
a) The story titled ………[title of your story]….., which I am submitting in monthly magazine Branwyn has been written by me and it is my original piece of work. b) It does not violate any copyright issue and is free from plagiarism. c) It is a fictional work of creative imagination and I, by no means intend to hurt anybody’s personal emotions. d) If my work is found violating any copyright issue, then I am solely responsible for it and not Branwyn. A book which says everything we missed to say or found ourselves unable to put together. A book which becomes a sole-mate and sometimes soul-mate too... A book which takes us to an exotic world full of adventures and mysteries...

Branwyn, in a new segment "THAT BOOK AND ME", invites all the readers to share their experience of reading a book which made them feel and spoke their heart out. Share your experience how a particular book made you feel. You can quote particular segments from the book, share your mental condition while you were reading them and how they made you feel special. Share your words with millions of other readers and authors out there...

A former national volleyball and football player, Arunima Sinha boarded the Padmavati Express train at Lucknow for Delhi on 12 April 2011. She was pushed out of a general coach of the train by robbers wanting to sn**ch her bag and gold chain.
Immediately, as she fell on the railway track, another train on a parallel track crushed her leg below the knee. She was rushed to the hospital with serious leg and pelvic injuries, and lost her leg after doctors amputated it to save her life.

Determined and dedicated, Arunima Sinha decided to scale world's highest mountain peaks. Thereafter, she became World's first female amputee to scale Mount Everest, Mount Kilimanjaro (Tanzania), Mount Elbrus (Russia), Mount Kosciusko (Australia), Mount Aconcagua (South America), Carstensz Pyramid (Indonesia) and Mount Vinson.

She is the recipient of the Padma Shri award, the fourth highest civilian award of India.

In an interview with a News Channel, she said, "Hurdles and obstacles are bound to come. What you make of them, is worth living for."

Arunima Sinha is regarded as the source of inspiration for people around the world who are dealing with hardships in their life.
