SMC presents HANNA-BARBERA ACTION!
Before the rise of basic cable and syndication, Saturday mornings for many children in America consisted of watching cartoons on TV on one of three available channels. From 1958 through the 1980s, a vast majority of those cartoons bore the Hanna-Barbera (1957-2001) imprint.
Besides its popular series like The Flintstones, The Jetsons, Scooby-Doo, and Top Cat, Hanna-Barbera is also known for its abundance of action cartoons.
SATURDAY MORNING CARTOONS returns to that section of Hanna Barber that showed a heck of a lot of ACTION!

We all need to laugh. If it isn't in the hilarity of cat videos, or the demise of failed attempts at tv entertainment then it's gotta be the current political situations in our current times.
SITCOMS, also known as "Situation Comedies", cured a lot of those woes when "they" had to go thru it so let's take a look at what was so funny back then and why we couldn't replicate it......entirely.

Some of your favorite Cartoons will sometimes go too far. Or people will just get upset over things that rattle their belief systems. Or cause kids to get sick. And we have them all.
These are the toons that got banned due to sex, booze, terrorism, for causing seizures, plus more. These are the shows your parent (and the censors) did not want you to watch, but you (and the rest of us) did anyway.
Come join us again as we look back and see if they really were all that bad.
