There's a patient consistency at the heart of Eduardo Guzman’s work as Gilmer Galibard. Endless hours digging in the more overlooked sections of the world’s record shops while championing the newest music coming out of his productions or unreleased material has resulted in a unique & thrilling sound.
Gilmer’s first release came out in 2015 called 'Brain Poacher' in Lobster Theremin showcasing a production style that lands somewhere between Ancient Methods, Sandwell District and a more rugged version of the live-orientated Karenn sound, keeping the rhythms and grooves undulating under booted foot. The next year after the nuclear arms test that was the 'Brain Poacher', Gilmer returns to the Lobster family via lucid, murky sub-label Mörk with his second record called 'Lost Tapes'. Taking a much more languid and contemplative approach to his followup, 'Lost Tapes' finds itself washed ashore on a waves of warm, translucent, salt-infused techno and house gaving for his next release the opportunity to make his debut in Turbo Recordings with an four tracks EP called ‘Baker S**t Ton’.
His music has been played by the likes of Ben Sims, Palms Trax, Tiga, Courtesy, Samuli Kemppi to name a few, but when he’s perched in the booth, weaving together a invigorating assortment of hypnotic acid, ’90s rave and pumping techno, his mind is on the dancefloor making him one of the most versatile weapons for the rave experience.
