1. The Hotchkiss Lookbook is a fashion and arts periodical created by students at The Hotchkiss School. It is currently digitally b
ased on Tumblr and Facebook, and the future will also be a printed publication.
2. Where can I find the Hotchkiss Lookbook? On Tumblr (http://hotchkisslookbook.tumblr.com), Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/hotchkisslookbook) and Twitter (https://twitter.com/hkisslookbook)
3. How does one get onto the Lookbook? The Hotchkiss Lookbook Team carries cameras to school on most days of the week while the entire student body is in dress code. Each member of the team individually selects a couple different people everyday who stand out to us to take photos of. On certain days the Lookbook Team also sets up a station in the SACR (otherwise known as the Debate Room, easily accessed through the Dining Hall or the International Office). Anyone is welcome to come in and have their picture taken. Don’t think that you have to be asked to be on the Lookbook. If you would like to be featured, just ask! We're friendly and like being approached.
4. You took a picture of me, why is it not on the Lookbook? Once a photo is taken and edited, it is first drafted onto the website, where it must pass through a ballot. At least four out of six of our team members must approve the picture before it can be published. If your photo doesn't make it, don't be discouraged! It could have been an array of things that made it unsuitable - the lighting, setting, or editing.
5. The Hotchkiss Lookbook is pretty sweet. How do I get involved? We're currently fully staffed with photographers and editors. Soon, however, we're starting physical publication and we'll be needing writers and visual editors for layouts. Look out for an email from us!
