Looking for new music or long forgotten gems has shaped the past 22 year of being involved in music for Eddie. Having started out collecting records in 1999 and catching the crate digging bug at the now sadly closed bpm records in Waterford City was where most of my free time, wages and energy were spent in the beginning of this musical journey. Since those day that are long gone but never forgotten i have gone on to play at numerous club gigs across Ireland/Europe while also appearing on the highly respected streaming platforms Red Light Radio Amsterdam & HOR Berlin on three and two occasions.
This journey has also brought me start running parties with friends over the years whit highlights being the Mook! and Twin Peaking parties both located in Waterford City. These parties schooled me in promotion and over time i started my own event called Seems Legit! which has hosted such guests as John Heckle, Prosumer, David Vunk, Lee Holman, Cailin, Tr One, Dj Wool, Ikeaboy and lots more plus it's also a record label with the first release coming from Ikeaboy and sub label Of The Beaten Track first release coming from Akari.
His musical taste has changed over the years from hard fast energetic music when i started out buying records to more mellow deeper house sounds around the mid 00's which then led me to explore deeper the boundaries of genres which led me to what he is into now.. electro/coldwave/italo influenced sounds.
During lockdown i really started to add to my record collection whit lots of new music arriving weekly across all genres over the past 18 months. So, when i was asked to contribute a mix to the 393 records mix series i really wanted to make something that showcased what i had being listening to and also buying in that timeframe. The mix consists of everything from house, techno, electro, ebm and lots more across one hour. It was mixed on two technic 1210's and a fairly clapped out DJM 700 mixer in one take on a Tuesday night with an audience of two in attendance i.e my cat and dog getting in the way. I hope you enjoy the journey as i much as i did making this mix.
