Happy Diwali! 🕉️

Diwali, also called the "festival of lights," is a joyous day for people to extend good wishes to their family, friends and close ones. It is celebrated over the course of five days, with a variety of different practices observed each day.

As one of the most important Hindu holidays, Diwali gets its name from the row of clay lamps (deepa) that people light outside their homes. This tradition symbolizes the inner light that protects from spiritual darkness.

We at Gen Z are wishing you a Diwali that brings happiness, prosperity, and joy to you and all your family ❤️

Ready for a sweet treat? 🍫

Today's national chocolate day! While it may not seem like it, the history of chocolate is a long one 😁

Nearly 4,000 years ago, the first ever cacao plants were discovered in Mesoamerica and were harvested by the Olmec (one of the earliest civilizations). Back then, they used chocolate in ceremonies and as medicine!

Celebrate this rich history with some chocolate and one of our great reads!!! 🍬📚

Today is national fine art appreciation day! 🎨🧑‍🎨 Now's the time to seek out art in unusual places, admire and study it, and support the artists however you're able.

Fun ways to celebrate today include going to an art museum in your area or independently researching some art history to expand your understanding 💗

Art comes in many different shapes and sizes, so once you're done appreciating the great works from artists like Matisse or Picasso, consider perusing some literary art from our Gen Z authors 😉

Today is Yom Kippur, or the 'Day of Atonement,' one of the most important Jewish holidays. Today, Jews will take part in a 25-hour fast, beginning before sunset on the evening before Yom Kippur and ending after nightfall on the day of Yom Kippur.

As its name suggests, Yom Kippur is dedicated to atoning for the sins of the past year, and most of the day is spent in the synagogue, in prayer.

For those partaking in today's repentance, we at Gen Z wish you a meaningful fast 😊

Today is American Business Women's Day and we want to say celebrate all of the amazing women and female-identifying people! Today recognizes the contributions and achievements of women in the workforce. Today also recognizes the many women that are business owners in the U.S. ❤️

We want to honor our CEO, Morissa Schwartz for all of her hard work. Morissa is the Founder and CEO of GenZ Publishing, Zenith Publishing, and Dr. Rissy’s Writing and Marketing. Her achievements are recognized as she continues to inspire others!

Fiona has been with GenZ since 2021, paving a path for fellow interns to come in and showcase the various illustrations that make our book covers scream, 'Pick me!'
