Florian Stöffelbauer, also known as Heap, is highly regarded in Vienna's electronic music scene. He excels as a DJ, producer, and label owner, showcasing a profound understanding of unique and captivating sounds. Although the term "digger" is often used with an air of arrogance, Florian remains genuine and down-to-earth. He embraces a diverse and humble approach to music, driven by a desire to share his passion with a devoted community. Operating under the name Heap, he has masterfully crafted a distinct low-slung industrial sound that has become emblematic of the clubbing experience in Austria's capital. His tracks, characterized by their unconventional style, can be heard on Isla and soon on Terra Magica Rec. (remix together with for 12“ and remix 12“) as well as his own label, Neubau. Additionally, when DJing under his real name, Florian unveils forgotten Austropop gems, explores the outer realms of krautrock, and uncovers precious synth-pop treasures.
The label heads of Terra Magica Rec., Tom Sprenger and Mirko Hecktor perform individually and under their joint name Hektisch Sprengen DJs. They started the label in spring 2021 as a platform for their psychedelic-weirdo club music focussing predominantly on Various Artist releases but also releases solo projects and welcoming with open arms artists like Poly Chain, Cosmica Bandida, Dea, Rambal Cochet, Iro Aka, Grischerr, Heap, Lucas Croon, Mikkel Rev, Krijka, Pyramid of Knowledge, Jacques Satre, Mogwaa, Ilija Rudman, Moisk, Gee Dee, DJN4, Jaisiel, Tadan, Dom, A-Tweed and Los Pulpitos to join our psychedelic world. TERRA MAGICA REC. has got a bit of everything we love: ranging from lo-fi krautrock, a sprinkle of cosmic downtempo goodness, a peppering of acid and Breakbeat and some of those Goa trance flavours – very chuggy, very tasty.
