Adedeji
Adedeji’s music is an infusion of traditional African music with a progressive attitude and the modern sounds of jazz, funk, and soul. The nine-piece band includes some of Nigeria’s best musicians, featuring the grooviest rhythm and horn section that enhances the Afrobeat-influenced sound, along with backing vocals that reference Adedeji’s gospel upbringing.

If you are a 9ja musician, you should watch this.. its a long one but its worth it.. Femi Sanya bros thanks for your insight Baale Dele Adeyanju Agbaletu great job once again.. I've said this before, the truth and revelations coming out recently about how musicians are been treated by their leaders is a good thing.. we could use this as a way to move forward as a people. Nigerian music suffers a lot of possible development because of this habits and attitude instead of them been defensive and trying to destroy people's characters, we could actual see this as a sign for growth...

Adédèjì's homage to the Great One: Custodian of daybreak, setting of sun; The four corners of the earth herein join In this serious endeavour wrapped in fun. Perfect imperfection or imperfect perfection; the number 7 adorns one of the garbs and manifests itself as introduced by Rodrigo Rodriguez (reputable Colombian Swiss percussionist and producer). Quickly complemented by the host's percussive guitar and vocal panegyrics to the subject matter. Immediately followed by the melancholic approach to the piano by 'Digba Timothy Ogunbiyi (American based Nigerian Jazz pianist); a long time collaborator of Adédèjì, Yoel Soto (Cuban poet and composer) eases in dragging with him Michael Oloyede Drums (Berkeley product and a brain behind the Native Brains; Lagos, Nigeria based Afro Jazz group). Every cast on stage went on to give a splendid account of themselves. With Mojúbà, literally translated "I Pay Homage" Adédèjì has made use of his arsenal of weapons, voice and guitars (in no particular order) to reverence the person and extol the virtues of the Almighty. Its out on Bandcamp tomorrow 13/2/21
