I have a question for you 🤔
For me, Moto Therapy = Instant Happiness
I know a lot of you here don’t ride motorcycles though.
Do you have that one thing that brings you instant joy as soon as you encounter/do it??
Because someone always asks;

I’ve had this in my drafts for a while. I was afraid it was too real, vulnerable, weird to share on here - but f*ck it!

The sounds of Winter passed.
March 2022, when life was very different.
My marriage of 17 yrs had just ended, I was living alone for the first time in my life, in a very remote house in the countryside with no family or friends nearby. I had just started a business that I wasn’t sure could support the kids and I. We were still navigating Covid restrictions. I felt like I was failing my kids daily. I was driving back and forth 2 hours each way to Dublin every week to see my Dad as he battled cancer.
A month later my landlord sold the house I had just moved into and had made livable with the last of my money. I was back to house hunting in a non-existent market. 5 months later I finally found a place to live, it took two weeks to lug all that furniture to the new house alone. 2 months later my Dad lost his battle. 2022 tried to break me in more ways than I have words for.
This motorcycle; the way it kept me moving and connected to an amazing community of bikers was what saved my sanity. I roamed the mountains every chance I got.
I’m not sharing this for pity or pats on the back 🙏🏻 I’m sharing this because I woke up this morning feeling grateful and realising I made it through. Life is f**king good. It’s been a rollercoaster but it’s good now, the healing has started. I didn’t think I’d get to this point and maybe others out there are feeling like that too. I used to write the words “Stay the course” on my arm, hidden in my tattoos to remind myself that I just needed to push through.
If you’re struggling - stay the course. Take one step, one task, one day at a time. You don’t need to be positive right now. It’s ok to feel what you feel, just don’t let it bury you.
And to everyone who always checks up on me, knocks on my door, drags me out of my isolation, reminds me to get on the bike
POV: Chasing sunsets, not people. 🏍️✨ 🌅

Halloween began here in Ireland with Samhain, the ancient festival marking the end of harvest and the start of winter—a night when the line between this world & the spirit world grew thin. Here are some traditions that bring a little Samhain spirit to your night:
🔥 Bonfires & Divination
Communities once gathered around bonfires for protection and to boost fortune. The fire was also used for scrying, where people would read shapes in the flames or throw items into the fire to glimpse the future. Try lighting a candle or small fire this year & focus on a question for the year ahead.
👻 Costumes
Our costumes come from “guising,” when people dressed up in animal skins or straw to confuse wandering spirits. Guising evolved into early trick-or-treating. Even if you’re just answering the door to kids tonight, wear a mask to keep the spirits guessing.
🍏 Harvest Games & Marriage Divination
With Samhain marking the last harvest, people played games like apple bobbing & nut roasting to predict love and marriage. Try the old tradition: place two nuts in the fire, one for you & one for a love interest. If they burn side-by-side, it’s a good match; if they pop apart, it’s likely not “meant to be.”
🍎 Offerings for Spirits & the Dead
People used to leave out food for spirits or to honor passed family members. Some held a silent meal, with a place set for the dead. This Halloween, leave a small offering by your doorstep or light a candle to honor those who came before.
🛡️ Protection Charms & Jack-o’-Lanterns
People carved faces into turnips to ward off spirits—an early version of our jack-o’-lanterns—and kept iron near doors to repel fairies. Add a protective twist to your pumpkin this year, or carry a small charm with you for good measure.
📜 Storytelling
Samhain was a night for sharing stories of ancestors, heroes, and mystical figures, a way to honor those who came before. Try swapping ghost stories or family tales this
Child: “Mom, I’m home. My friend is with me”
Me: “I’m out back Wolfie”
Child: “Jesus Mom! Can you just be normal once?!?”
Me: “Of course baby….ummm….which part of this is not normal?”

I left the house to buy a pair of shoes for a Masquerade Ball….
And came home with a 1000 more photos of my bike and the stunning views of County Tipperary.
