Finding Bob is the story of a young boy who grows up in a war torn African country. The boy is an orphan who witnessed his family being killed by the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) led by the terrible JOSEPH KONY. He was enslaved and turned into a child soldier and forced to participate in horrible acts of cruelty. In the course of that escape he comes across a small satchel with a number of things
in it including a small cassette player with a tape inside. The music and the message of that tape helps the boy survive and propels him on a journey to find Bob Marley the maker of the music. His journey is full of danger but he seems protected and guided by higher forces. All along the way he encounters people who help him move closer to finding Bob. He becomes a stowaway and survives an ocean journey to England with the help of a crew member who befriends him. That ship continues on to Jamaica where it encounters hurricane force winds. The boy makes it into a life boat but finds himself tossed in the water when the life boat capsizes over the reef. The boy is cast ashore and washes up on Silver beach in Jamaica. His journey continues when he connects with local Rastas who help him on his way to Nine Mile where Bob is. This part of story sees the boy transforming into a young man with an encounter with a Jamaican woman. The boy makes it to Nine Mile and the timing of his arrival is providential. His journey has ended and he tells his story. It becomes clear that his adventure was guided by the spirit of Bob and he has found his Zion.
