Happy Monday, Friends! What are your goals for the week? My goal is to get back into the social media swing of things--I was sick and then spent some time rethinking my digital marketing business so I was off of social media for a bit. But, I pivoted a bit to focus more on mindset and relationships (hello Inner Bloom!) and feel recharged and ready to go!

My other goal of the week is to film more b-roll content! My own stock footage is getting a bit low so I'm trying to be more intentional with filming footage.

Happy Saturday! It’s June 1. If you are just starting digital marketing, here are some things you can post about:

🔸 your goals for the month and how you are going to achieve them.
🔸 how the beginning of this month is different from the beginning of last month because you started digital marketing.
🔸 what was the moment that made you decide to start digital marketing
🔸 a direct shout out to your audience (so, I focus on women over 40 so something I might say is “to all the women over 40 who are making all the plans, running all the errands, taking care of everyone: it’s time to put you first” and then go on to talk about how digital marketing can be for them)
🔸 a reminder that the hardest part is just to start—the first step is the hardest or stop sitting on the sidelines.

Just sharing this here for accountability purposes: I am creating my own digital product. My background is as a writing professor and I see such anxiety around writing in digital marketing (hence the popularity of things like the done for you reels guide). So, I am creating a guide with worksheets and actionable steps to help take away some of that anxiety so you can write captions, stories, and your own products! In process now...
But as I write it: what other writing concerns/fears do you have? What would help you feel more comfortable as a writer?

I started digital marketing on January 1: new year resolution, I suppose. It took about three months to get my first sale. I invested in multiple courses to learn what to do. I relied son my skills as a writer to share my story and make connections. Now, I average about 1k a month on this side hustle—enough to put some into savings and to spoil my family.
