The Sixth Pan-Afrikan Congress (6th PAC) shook up the Black World 50 years ago (June 1974). Afrikans from across the Continent, the Americas & Europe converged on Tanzania, then under the leadership of Mwalimu Julius Nyerere to chart a course towards fulfulling the vision of Afrikan Liberation.
This vision had already begun to be obscured, as the promise of independence was steadily shattered by "former colonisers" re-establishing themselves as the Neo-Colonisers of Afrikan & Caribbean nations. In this climate, amidst HOT ideological debates, the 6th PAC declared REVOLUTIONARY PAN-AFRIKANISM as the theory & practice through which we can solve our problems; challenge Neo-Colonialism; industrialise the continent; get rid of colonial borders; establish a union government; build economic unity; institution a single Afrikan Army among many of lofty goals.
BUT THAT WAS 50 YEARS AGO! And many would regard the ideals of Revolutionary Pan-Afrikanism utopia relics of a by gone age, no longer relevant in the modern world.

Denial of the reality of Economic Warfare and/or neglecting the identification of it, is ofcourse essential to the legitimacy of White Western Imperialist Power; Which is why the representatives of the system, and their agents among us as Afrikan people invest so much in propagating it's non-existence; and negatively caricaturing those among us who do.

In steps Selena Carty who retrieved the Death Certificate on behalf of the family and is now on a journey to repatriate certified copies to his homeland of Jamaica 🇯🇲.

The period of the 1800's, following the independence of Haiti, is the most under-appreciated aspects of Ayiti's history. As such we wanted to shine a greater light on it in or to put the Haiti of today in proper context.
As such, we speak to Prof. Leslie Alexander, Author of the book, Fear of a "Black Republic: Haiti and the Birth of Black Internationalism in the United States". Concentrating on Haiti’s place in the history of Black internationalism, Alexander illuminates the ways Haitian independence influenced Black thought and action in the United States. As she shows, Haiti embodied what whites feared most: Black revolution and Black victory.
In our conversation, we explore the history of Ayiti from 1804 all the way to the early 1900's detailing the challenges faced by the young nation and the many attacks it faced from white imperialists.

The Fascinating story of how, on June 4, 1865 Private John Martin partook in an organized act of rebellion when he “deserted” with gun and ammo along with several fellow USCT’s. Dr. Martin Robinson Delany, Major of the 104th U.S. Colored Troops was also present at Camp Stanton at Hilton Head Island, South Carolina and actively involved in activities related to the rebellion of soldiers and the ordinary Freedmen population of Beaufort and Orangeburg District’s at the time.

Its the centenary of Cheikh Anta Diop and we have a series of programmes in honour of his legacy. Diop has an illustrious catalogue of Books including:
• The Cultural Unity of Black Africa: the domains of patriarchy and of matriarchy in classical antiquity
• Precolonial Black Africa: a comparative study of the political and social systems of Europe and Black Africa, from antiquity to the formation of modern states
• Civilization or Barbarism: An Authentic Anthropology
• Black Africa: The Economic and Cultural Basis for a Federated State
These and more classic books have had a lasting impact on world scholarship, specifically as it relates to the Afrikan-Centred & Pan-Afrikan Movements. Yet there are those who would consider Diop's work outdated and non applicable in the 21st Century.

The CariCom 🇯🇲🇧🇧🇬🇾 Presidential Council is in place. Interim roles have been assigned. President Ruto of Kenya 🇰🇪 has visited the region to sure up the Kenyan troops role as head of a USA 🇺🇲/UN 🇪🇺 orchestrated so-called "Multinational Security Support Mission". Caricom 🇯🇲🇧🇧🇬🇾 required acceptance of this military intervention on the part of all Haitians 🇭🇹 who would sit at the negotiation table. There are reports of delays in resources & the commencement of the mission; Meanwhile, US 🇺🇲 planes have apparently flown in supplies & "Civilian Contractors". Information on the progress of the mission seems hard to come by

HAITI & CARICOM! The Caribbean Community (CARICOM 🇯🇲🇧🇧🇬🇾 etc) has stepped to the fore in attempting to address the current Crisis in Haiti 🇭🇹. While for some a regional body attempting to assist our Sister Nation is a welcome development, the fact that CARICOM have convened in the collaboration with USA 🇺🇲, France 🇫🇷 & Canada 🇨🇦 has lead to many deeply held critiques. Questions have arisen on the seeming absence of Haitian People and organisations at the decision table; as well as the moral standing of USA 🇺🇲, France 🇫🇷 & Canada 🇨🇦, who are known to have exploitative relationships with Haiti 🇭🇹; relationships they are yet to account for.
