When I was younger I didn't understand why Christmas time really had nothing to do with Jesus. Aside from time off of work it became a time to be with family and friends but instead of talking about the greatness of Jesus we focused on telling the children about Santa Clause, Reindeers, Elves, Trees, Mistletoe, fruit cake, getting drunk, football games, parties...etc. I didn't know all the most famous Christmas songs were written by Jewish songwriters who traditionally don't celebrate Christmas. I guess It's a profitable business.
